1. General information
The main objective of the subject is to provide students with the documents that are at the basis of pedagogical innovation in the teaching of French as a foreign language
In addition, they will become familiar with the use of new technologies that will help to improve the quality of teaching in this field, performing research and innovation projects that contribute to bring the actual use of the French language closer to the classroom
This approach and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations' Agenda 2030 () Agenda 2030 of the United Nations (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), in such a way that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject will contribute to the achievement of goals 4, 5, 10, 16 and 17.
2. Learning results
The student, in order to pass this subject, must demonstrate the following results:
1. Recognize, describe and evaluate innovative teaching proposals in the field of teaching French as a foreign language, identifying the theoretical assumptions to which they respond and the problems related to teaching and learning that they attempt to solve.
2. Explain the most important approaches and methodologies to evaluate the educational activity in all its aspects and to apply some of the most consolidated evaluation instruments to concrete teaching-learning situations.
3. Differentiate the different paradigms of educational research in their corresponding specialty and use them to evaluate research articles.
4. Know and effectively use bibliographic and documentary resources related to innovation and educational research
3. Syllabus
1. The Aragonese curriculum for the French language subject.
2. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and its principles for foreign language teaching.
3. Use and application of new technologies for the preparation of activities and innovation projects.
4. Development and implementation of innovation projects for teaching French as a foreign language.
4. Academic activities
The teaching and learning activities are cantered on independent work based on what has been exposed in class, personal reflection and bibliographic consultation, to carry out a work of application of what has been acquired with a view to the development of didactic strategies, which will be very useful in a future work as a teacher. The work will be based on the following aspects:
- Expository sessions.
- Active learning methodologies
- Work preparation
- Oral presentation and discussion of papers
- Tutorials
The work throughout the teaching period will be based on the types of activities:
- Master classes
- Practical classes
- Directed work
- Individual study
5. Assessment system
- Evaluable activities carried out during formal teaching
- Homework dossier: Elaboration of assignments on contents developed in the subject (individual or in group / face-to-face or autonomous work). They will be presented orally (40% of the final grade).
- Innovation project: Development of an innovation project (individual or group), 40% of the final grade. Oral presentation of the project, 20% of the final grade.
Assessment criteria:
- Structure and quality of work
- Clarity of objectives and content
- Consistency
- Linguistic expression and presentation
It will be necessary to obtain a minimum grade of 5/10 in each evaluation instrument in order to pass the subject.
- Global test and second call
- Written test (40% of the final grade).
- Innovation project: Development of an innovation project (individual or group), 40% of the final grade. Oral presentation of the project, 20% of the final grade. The evaluation criteria will be the same as for the continuous evaluation.
- Fifth and sixth calls
The evaluation system for these calls will be the same as in the case of the second call
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Rules of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will apply to irregularities committed in the assessment tests through academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Rules of Learning Assessment in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
